SUNSET STRIP TOURS WITH MANILOW
Sunset Strip, the hot band that performs in Shimmer Cabaret at the Las Vegas Hilton, recently was chosen by Hilton headliner Barry Manilow to open for him at several selected holiday arena tour dates around the country, including Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, New York; Izod Center, East Rutherford, New Jersey; Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio; and the Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit Michigan. The high energy show group produced and directed by Glenn Medas and Michael Chambers, highlights vocalists Lorena Peril and Sina Foley, dancers; Melani Michaud and Nadia Albulet, and a powerhouse band led by music director, Steven Lee, along with Brenda Cowart, D'LaVance Sullivan and Kip Mungin. Sunset Strip performs Tues, Fri.- Sat.- 9:30 p.m. –1:30 a.m., Weds. -Thurs.-11:30 p.m.-2:30 a.m. in Shimmer. Barry Manilow returns to the Hilton Theater March 5.

MENOPAUSE® AT 1000TH
Menopause The Musical®, which debuted at the Las Vegas Hilton on February 1, 2006 after playing in forty cities and six countries, will celebrate its 1,000th show on Saturday during the 7 p.m. performance. Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, Writer/Producer Jeanie Linders created the show as a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived “The Change.” Since its first performance, the show has evolved as a "grassroots" movement of women who deal with life after 40 and all the challenges that result in the mental, physical and spiritual freedom of the post-World War II baby boomer generation. MAGIC, ROADS, ART, AND DANCE
Steve Dacri, the world's greatest close-up magician; Bobby Shelton, public information coordinator for the Clark County Department of Public Works, choreographer Vina Lee from “Chinese New Year Spectacular,” and artist/illustrator Mike Miller join Ira on this Monday’s “Lunchtime With Ira, Live from the Las Vegas Hilton.” The show can be seen on Clark County Television (CCTV), Cox cable channel 4 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Noon and 8 p.m., heard on NEWS/TALK 720 KDWN (Saturdays at 9 p.m.), and is available 24/7 at www.lvhilton.com and http://www.vegastalkradio.com/. The show, produced live every Monday at Noon, features host Ira David Sternberg talking with the celebrities, entertainers, writers, personalities and community leaders who make Las Vegas the most exciting city in the world.

World Championship Muaythai Kick Boxing comes to the Hilton Theater this Saturday at 8 p.m. The main event features the undefeated WBC Muaythai Heavyweight Champion Shane "Rocky" Del Rosario making his first title defense against Guinty Vrede (19-1 with 19 KO's) in what promises to be an explosive match. Reigning Women's World Champion Sachiyo "Princess of Pain" Shibata returns to Las Vegas to battle Semma Yerlice with both eyeing the prestigious "green belt" of the WBC Muaythai.

DIAMONDS ARE A WOOLERY’S BEST FRIEND
Chuck Woolery, who co-hosts “The $250,000 Game Show Spectacular” at the Las Vegas Hilton along with Bob Eubanks and Jaime Farr, is such a fan of diamonds that he owns a diamond encrusted bass guitar. The Game Show Spectacular brings some of America's most recognizable game shows together for the first time. Since the beginning the show, Eubanks, Woolery and Farr have given away more than $250,000 in cash and prizes (but no diamonds), and there have been more than 3,000 winners to date. At each show, an audience member has the chance to win $250,000. If that person wins $250,000, every audience member who has a valid ticket for that show will also win $100. Showtimes are Monday – Saturday 1:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. in the Hilton Theater.
