CHASING MANILOW
Barry Manilow, who headlines at the Las Vegas Hilton, is one of two honorees who will receive the Steve Chase Humanitarian Award in Palm Springs in 2009. The 15th annual event, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its beneficiary, the Desert AIDS Project, will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Barry's foundation is the Manilow Fund for Health and Hope. Manilow returns to the Las Vegas Hilton August 27, 29-30.

SKYE HIGH
Skye Dee Miles, who performs as "power woman" in "Menopause The Musical" at the Las Vegas Hilton, is a 2008 Black Music Awards nominee. Skye, nominated for "Best Performance in a Stage Production" at the August 16 event in Las Vegas, is part of two casts that perform the popular show at the Hilton. Showtimes: Monday - Saturday 7 p.m., Wednesday 4 & 7 p.m. and Sunday 6 p.m.

CLASSIFIED INFORMATION
The Las Vegas Hilton has introduced a new service for its employees, called "Las Vegas Hilton Classifieds:" Employees can buy, sell, trade or find a carpool. All ads are $2.00 and post for two weeks on two boards. All monies received from these ads will be donated to a fund to help employees.

CAN'T WHINE ABOUT THIS WINE
Fortuna, a coffee & wine experience at the Las Vegas Hilton (located right off the main lobby), offers daily wine sales. Selected wines are sold at a 50% discount as a way of offering a wider selection of varietals to people who want to experiment with wines but have a limited budget.

STEPPING INTO THE SPOTLIGHT
The $30,000 Spotlight Slot Tournament at the Las Vegas Hilton, August 7-9, features a $6,000 first-place prize and a four day-three night stay.
