TIGER OUT FOR THE YEAR
After his stimulating win at the US Open, Tiger Woods has decided to have season-ending knee surgery. As this might be a disappointment for many golf fans, Tiger's departure leaves the rest of the golf world with hope. Before the announcement, the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook listed Tiger an overwhelming favorite to win the British Open, the next major tournament in July scheduled to be played in England. Now, with Tiger out, the rest of the field has to think their chances are much better. According to Jay Kornegay, executive director of the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook, some of the contenders include Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia both at 12-1, Phil Mickelson 15-1, Justin Rose 20-1, and Les Westwood at 25-1. All the current odds and rules are posted in the SuperBook.
