GERMANY AND SPAIN LEAD EURO CUP SEMI-FINALS
The World Cup is the biggest prize in the soccer world. The Euro Cup title is a clear second. According to Jay Kornegay, executive director of the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook, four teams remain alive for the title and "if it's anything like we saw in the quarterfinals, we all should expect more surprises." The two teams not expected to be in the semis include Turkey and Russia. These two will be sizeable underdogs once play starts up again. The Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook has Germany -1 (goal) -140 favorite over Turkey and Spain is a -1/2 (goal) favorite over Russia. All the rules and current odds are available in the SuperBook.

COLLEGE, NEW MEDIA, AND ENTERTAINMENT
Dean Stu Mann of UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration; John Katsilometes, new media editor for Greenspun Media Group; and entertainment producer/composer Tim Molyneux join Ira on this Monday's "Lunchtime With Ira, Live from the Las Vegas Hilton." The show can be seen on Clark County Television (CCTV), Cox cable channel 4 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at Noon and 8 p.m., heard on NEWS/TALK 720 KDWN (Saturdays at 9 p.m.), and is available 24/7 at www.lvhilton.com. The show, produced live every Monday at Noon, features host Ira David Sternberg talking with the celebrities, entertainers, writers, personalities and community leaders who make Las Vegas the most exciting city in the world.

BARRY'S BIRTHDAY, PART TWO
When Barry Manilow celebrated his birthday two weeks ago, in addition to the 25-foot-square cake wheeled out for the occasion and champagne served in special Manilow birthday souvenir champagne flutes, members of the Barry Manilow International Fan Club were in attendance as well. Sin City Heat (formerly Sunset Strip) that rockin' band that fills the Shimmer Cabaret in the Las Vegas Hilton is led by Musical Director Steven Lee and features seasoned musicians, talented singers and incredible dancers. IF IT'S TUESDAY, THIS MUST BE BOXING
Boxing returns to the Las Vegas Hilton with former World Boxing Council featherweight champion Kevin Kelley of Las Vegas against Jaime Palma of Alexandria, Va., for the Boxing Illustrated lightweight championship on the inaugural, nationally televised "Tuesday Night Boxing Live from the Las Vegas Hilton" card July 8. FEASTING ON THE FOURTH
The Las Vegas Hilton is celebrating the Fourth of July with a buffet feast featuring more than 60 seasonal menu items of freshly prepared culinary delights. Just a sample: chipotle crusted prime rib of beef, oven roasted turkey with natural pan gravy, New England clam chowder, crispy southern fried chicken, Opilio crab legs, and chilled shrimp on ice. The special buffet is set for July 4-5, 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.

MANAGING DIABETES-IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH
The Las Vegas Hilton, through its Total Life Center, is helping its employees who have diabetes by offering free classes in English and Spanish. These classes provide people the information, skills, and support they need to lead more active, healthier lives.
