SPRING TRAINING FOR THE BOYS OF SUMMER
Baseball’s regular season is still about a month away but the odds have it ready to go now, says Jay Kornegay, executive director of the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook. The SuperBook recently posted all its season-long baseball wagers including regular season wins by each team. The defending champion Red Sox have an over/under win total of 94 followed by the Yankees and Tigers both at 93.5. Angels are listed at 92 and the Dodgers are 86.5. Other props listed include individual player home runs, wins, saves, hits, and over/under totals for strikeouts, complete games, saves, doubles, and more. SURVEY SAYS…
According to a recent survey conducted by USA Today, “Manilow: Music and Passion” is the “must-see” show in Las Vegas. The resident headliner at the Las Vegas Hilton is back right now (March 5, 7, 8 & 12, 14, 15) and returns again in April (2, 4, 5 & 9, 11, 12, 30) Showtime is 8 p.m. in the legendary Hilton Theater.
EIGHT WOMEN, ONE NEW GUY
“Menopause The Musical” at the Las Vegas Hilton, which features two casts of four women each, has added a male to the show…but not on stage. Rick Kaufman is the show’s new company manager. He has spent the last 20 years bringing quality entertainment to venues throughout the United States, including stints with “Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus” and “Walt Disney’s World On Ice.” Most recently, Rick was the company manager/director of business development for Royal Productions, the producers of the “Tournament of Kings” in Las Vegas.

MASH NOTES
This February marked the 25th anniversary of the “MASH” series finale. “MASH" was inspired by a 1968 novel and ran on CBS for nearly 11 years. One of its stars was Jamie Farr. Jamie is now one of the co-hosts, along with Chuck Woolery and Bob Eubanks, of “The $250,000 Game Show Spectacular” at the Las Vegas Hilton. The Game Show Spectacular brings some of America's most recognizable game shows together for the first time. At each show, an audience member has the chance to win $250,000. If that person wins $250,000, every audience member who has a valid ticket for that show will also win $100. Showtimes are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m. and Saturdays at 1:30 & 3:30 p.m.
