SUZANNE AND SEX
Suzanne Somers, famed actress, entertainer, best selling author, entrepreneur and anti-aging advocate, will present two special lectures at the Las Vegas Hilton on Memorial Day Weekend (May 23 and 24) at 4 p.m. Somers, author of 18 books, will be lecturing in the legendary Hilton Theater on health, hormones, sexuality and wellness as a follow-up to her New York Times Bestseller, “Breakthrough, Eight Steps to Wellness.” Tickets can be purchased at the Las Vegas Hilton box office, online at www.vegas.com, or by calling the box office at 702-732-5755 or 800-222-5361.

ANOTHER AWARD FOR BARRY
Barry Manilow, resident headliner at the Las Vegas Hilton, who has produced some of the most famous advertising jingles of all time for companies such as State Farm, Band-Aid, Tab and Stridex, accepted an Honorary CLIO Award Thursday night. Manilow is being honored for his distinguished industry contributions, according to a press statement by Wayne Youkhana, the director of the CLIO Awards. Two previous CLIO Awards, one of the world’s most prestigious international advertising and design competitions honoring creative excellence and innovation in the industry, were presented to Manilow in 1976 for his well-known television and radio commercial jingles. He received a CLIO for Best Television/Cinema Commercial for his composition of the jingle “Stuck on Me” for Johnson & Johnson’s Band-Aid brand (Young & Rubicam, New York), as well as an award for Best International Radio Commercial for his performance in the jingle “Countdown” for Coca-Cola Company’s soft drink, Tab (McCann-Erickson, Toronto). Manilow returns to the Hilton May 22-24 & 28-30.
